    Budget

      When a governor is elected into office, it his responsibility to review and comprise a budget for the state. It is the governor's responsibility to increase or reduce spending in all branches of the state to promote efficiency and economic growth. He may not, however, increase his own wage, though he may reduce or suspend it if he so wishes. The governor must address the legislature at least once each regular season to propose budgeting and inform them as to the condition of the state. He may also make recommendations in the public interest on any proposed changes or implementations in question.

      The governor is the commander-in-chief of all military personnel not actively serving the U.S. He is to ensure that all laws are faithfully executed, and see to all necessary business with the officers of government. The governor is responsible for holding any executive, county or municipal officer accountable by state law, and may initiate judicial proceedings, in the name of the state, to enforce compliance or restrain an unacceptable act of an officer.

      As head of state, the governor is, first and foremost, responsible for the residents of the state of Florida -- their economic health and well-being, educational opportunities, job creation, taxation and overall state support. He is responsible for comprising, proposing or supporting state-level funding and programs that promote independence and security among communities throughout the state. He is also responsible for eliminating waste and overspending, which a properly balanced budget should provide.

      Once a bill has passed through both houses of the legislature, it is sent onto the governor to be enacted as a law. The governor then has the responsibility to consider the bill. He can choose not to sign the bill, in which case the bill will go on to become law without his signature. He can sign the bill, immediately putting the law into action, or he can veto the bill. It must then be revised and passed through the house again before it can be considered by the governor for passage into law.
