Is The Nutrisystem Diet Easy To Follow?

32
I get a lot of emails from people trying to figure out how difficult life will be should they choose to go on the Nutrisystem diet.
Many people are attracted to prepackaged diets like this precisely because they don't want to have to do a lot of food preparation or make a lot of difficult decisions or calculations.
Essentially, most people are looking for a diet that is very easy to follow and to figure out.
And they want food that is as close to already prepared as is possible.
I heard from someone who said "is the Nutrisystem diet easy to figure out and follow? I don't have a lot of time to figure something out or to count calories and make my own food.
Is this diet an easy one or is it too complicated?" I'll address these concerns in the following article, as well as tell you the steps that you'd need to take when implementing Nutrisystem from start to finish.
That way, you can decide for yourself if this system would be easy for you to figure out.
Step One: Figure Out What Plan Or Package Works Best For You: To be quite honest, choosing your package and your corresponding foods are probably the steps that will take the most time.
You can chose to buy your food a la carte if you're going to be on the diet for less than two weeks.
Or, there are 2 week and 4 week packages.
There are regular men's and women's packages, packages for vegetarian, older, and diabetic individuals, and packages that contain frozen foods.
Step Two: Figure Out What Foods You Want To Eat: Once you've decided which package you want to go with, you'll be given a couple of options.
You can either go with the "favorites" package or you can customize your own.
The favorites package is a sampling of the most popular items on the menu.
So, you can feel pretty confident that you will like what is selected if you go with the favorites option.
But if you're unsure, you can chose your own foods by customizing your package.
They walk you through the process showing you both your options and how many more meals you need to select to complete your package.
Also, all of the food items are rated by users to help you decide.
I find that very helpful because you can literally read about what people like and don't like about any food that you're considering.
Step 3: Chose What You Feel Like Eating On Any Given Day: Basically, you need to eat five Nutrisystem meals per day - a breakfast, a lunch, a dinner, a snack, and a dessert.
So each day, you can choose what you feel like eating that day depending on your mood, your cravings, and what you have left in your rotation.
Also, you'll need to add in fresh sides with you meals (like milk to the cereal, or fresh fruit with your pizza for lunch, just as examples.
) And although you will chose your food, this really is all the work that is entailed.
There's no counting calories or adding points or keeping track of your protein to carbohydrate ratio.
You're basically just choosing your foods and that's it.
If you want to exercise, you can but no one is going to keep score or demand that you log it in.
So in my opinion, yes, Nutrisystem is easy to figure out for most people.
Honestly, the major decisions that you have to make is which package to order and what foods you will eat each day.
But that is really about it and that's not too difficult to handle for most.
