    • 1). Pull the hood release lever under the dashboard on the driver's side of the Accord and raise the hood.

    • 2). Loosen the bolt that holds the negative battery cable to the negative battery lead post with a 10-mm wrench or set of pliers. Remove the cable from the negative battery terminal to avoid shorting the Accord's electrical system or damaging your new CD player during installation.

    • 3). Pry the small dash panel, located between the air vents at the top-center of the dashboard, away from the dash with a trim pry tool. Unplug the wiring connectors to the back of the panel and set the small panel aside.

    • 4). Remove the screw behind the panel with a Phillips head screwdriver.

    • 5). Remove the two screws on the bottom edge of the trim panel surrounding the radio with the screwdriver. Pull the plastic panel from the dashboard.

    • 6). Remove the four screws around the stereo with the screwdriver or 8-mm socket and nut driver.

    • 7). Disconnect the two wiring connectors from the rear panel of the factory stereo. Unplug the antenna cable from the back panel of the stock radio.

    • 8). Place the installation kit faceplate adapter into the vacant stereo mounting dock. Pull the stereo wiring groups through to the front of the Accord's dash.

    • 9). Plug the plastic connectors at the end of the Honda's stereo wiring to the wiring harness adapter.

    • 10

Plug the two wiring harness adapter connectors into the outlets on the back of the aftermarket CD player. Plug the antenna wire into the FM antenna outlet on the right side of the CD player's rear panel.

    • 11

Slide the CD player into the faceplate adapter until it snaps into place.

    • 12

Replace the plastic dash panel around the stereo dock. Screw in the two screws on the bottom edge of the panel. Screw in the single screw in the opening at the top of the panel, between the vents, with the screwdriver.

    • 13

Connect the wiring to the back of the small dash panel (the vehicle's dash clock) and insert the panel into the opening on the larger dash panel. Press firmly to snap the panel back into place. Return to the Accord's engine compartment.

Place the negative battery cable clamp around the negative battery terminal lead. Tighten the bolt on the cable's clamp to secure the cable to the negative lead post. Close the Honda's hood.
