Los Angeles is home to several different boot camps, all of which are designed to push participants physically and mentally as they undergo rigorous fitness training. These boot camps are not official military programs, but are based on the concept of a demanding and physically challenging military camp. - Boot Camp LA participants, or "recruits" as they're referred to by the boot camp, begin the program with a full assessment of their physical fitness level and capabilities. This assessment allows for the boot camp staff to guide and coach each participant in the most effective way possible. Boot Camp LA sessions are held three days a week at 6 a.m., 7:15 a.m., 8:30 a.m. and 6:15 p.m.; recruits are free to choose which session to attend each day. While at camp, recruits stretch, engage in military-style drills, and participate in special strength training workouts. Each Boot Camp LA program runs for four weeks, but new recruits are welcome to join at any point during the four-week program.
