Simple Kit Gets a Strong Storyline
You don't always need elaborate settings to make interesting scenes.
Vera Zurndorfer took a simple kit, and a great collection of dolls and turned it into an interesting seasonal piece for Halloween. "The building is from a kit. The fireplace, cupboard, skelton, dog and piano were purchased. I made the witches, caldron, couch and casket (from the miniatures.D106 site). The chimmey I also made and added to the house."
Kits with two simple rooms allow for a main scene and a backstory.
The backstory in the attic adds to the fun of looking carefully through this scene.
