How to Tie a Skirt to a Jig
- 1). Slide the skirt up the hook's shank until it reaches the jig head. Turn the skirt to get the angle and color scheme you want radiating out from the jig head.
- 2). Hold the jig in one hand with the hook's curve facing down. Grip one end of the thread with the forceps and wrap eight to nine coils of thread around the neck of the skirt and shank, right next to the jig head.
- 3). Tuck the thread end into the last coil and clip off the excess to secure it to the jig.
- 4). Fluff up the skirt with your fingers to get the shape you want.
