How to Configure Wi-Fi in Windows Mobile
- 1). Tap the "Start" button in the upper-left corner of the Windows Mobile display.
- 2). Open the "Wireless Manager" by first clicking on "Settings" and opening the "Connections" tab. Click "Wireless Manager" to view the connections available on your phone.
- 3). Tap the "Wi-Fi" button in the "Wireless Manager" window to activate the Wi-Fi connection.
- 4). Tap "Done" once the Wi-Fi radio is turned on.
- 1). Open the "Start" menu, click on the "Connections" tab and then click on the "Connections" menu option. Tap "Wireless Manager" to open the network settings.
- 2). Tap "Menu" in the lower-right corner of the screen and select "Wi-Fi Settings." Click the "Wireless" tab and select "Add New."
- 3). Enter network information when prompted. Enter the name you want associated with the connection on your Windows Mobile phone, and select whether the Wi-Fi hotspot is solely for Internet access or to access a work network. Click "Next."
- 4). Choose the authentication method used by the wireless network, and enter the appropriate network key or choose "The key is automatically provided." If you do not have the necessary information, you will be unable to connect your Windows Mobile device to the Wi-Fi network.
- 5). Tap "Next." Check the boxes for "Use IEEE 802.1X network access control" and "Extensible Authentication Protocol," if necessary. This information is not necessary for home and public hotspots. However, if connecting to a work Wi-Fi network, contact your network administrator if you are unsure of how to configure these settings.
- 6). Tap "Finish" to complete the Wi-Fi configuration process. Launch the web browser or a messaging application to verify you are connected to the Wi-Fi network.
