Cheap & Easy Homemade Birthday Party Favors
- 1). Purchase bulk chocolate coated candies or small candies. Cut a large piece of cloth into smaller pieces, approximately one piece for each party guest. Place a small amount of candy in the center of each bag, pull up the sides and tie a piece of ribbon around the top.
- 2). Use the cloth to make satchels for adult birthday parties. Cut the cloth into small squares and fill with a handful or dried flowers. Sprinkle a few drops of essential oils over the top, which gives the dried flowers a more predominate smell. Wrap with ribbon and pass out the potpourri satchels.
- 3). Place adjustable rings in the center of holes in an ice cube tray. Use rings that work with your party theme, such as spider rings for a fall party or rings with the gust of honor's birthstone in the middle. Fill the trays with water and give each guest their own ice cube. Remind them that the ring is inside the ice, to prevent choking.
- 4). Mix your favorite sugar cookie recipe and cut out cookies in shapes relating to the birthday party theme. For example, use basketball and football shapes for a sports themed party. Decorate the cookies with royal icing, which dries hard and won't smudge. Give each guest a cookie on their way out of the party.
- 5). Burn your own party mix CDs for party guests. Download the songs yourself and create a music playlist on your music editing program. Burn the songs onto the CD, making one for each guest. Use photo editing software to make a cover for each CD, featuring the birthday boy or girl.
