Enjoying Disneyland as an Adult

10
Disney resorts are often seen as a family destination or somewhere to go exclusively to entertain children. While these places will undoubtedly be enjoyed by kids, there are also many adults - whether as parents or just as couples - who enjoy going to Disneyland.

Of course, Disneyland puts you face to face with many instantly recognisable cartoon characters that exude fun, and if you can't release your inner child in this sort of location, it's unlikely you'll find a better opportunity.

Getting back to how you used to be and how you used to act can be a wonderful trick to get the spark back in a flagging relationship. While some couples may try to put the emphasis on clichd romantic gestures, others simply need an injection of fun and entertainment.

Looking to reconnect with your inner child can be a daunting - and occasionally embarrassing - thing to do, so looking to visit during off peak times may help to spare a few blushes. Disneyland is typically quietest between October and April, so this may be an ideal time to visit to avoid the largest crowds and the longest queues, especially as Disneyland Paris deals may be more readily available than during peak season.

Many people spend an entire day - or several entire days - in the theme park so food is a must. Whether it's reliving the typical teenager date with burgers and fries or going somewhere a bit more upmarket, there is plenty to choose from.

Of course, it's not just day time that sees the park open. Many magical moments happen at night with romantic lights adorning the trees and buildings to help build a cosy atmosphere. On the other hand, adventure seekers might enjoy the rides a bit more in the dimming light to add a bit more suspense to proceedings.

As well as entertaining rides and activities, Disneyland Paris offers some of the most sought after souvenirs. From the much loved Mickey and Minnie figures and Disney emblazoned T-shirts to some of the latest gadgets, the gift shop is a haven for souvenirs and titbits to take back from your holiday.

By going during the off season you'll spend more time focussing on what you and your partner want to do, rather than watching other people and trying to avoid the biggest queues. Although the park may be aimed with children in mind, there is much to enjoy without any little ones around and, who knows, maybe the time you spend together will encourage you to start that family and return with your offspring one day.

It is the magical kingdom after all.
