Stephen Colbert Announcement Super PAC To Run For President In South Carolina 2012
Stephen Colbert is transferring discipline of his super PAC to beau Central host Jon Stewart, making it jural for him to explore a statesmanly run. "I'm proud to announce I plan to form an exploratory committee to lay the groundwork for my candidacy in the United States of South Carolina," Colbert said during a Weekday nighttime taping of his exhibit, accordingto CNN. As ABC Broadcast reports, Colbert declared, "With your help and with possibly the help of some outside group that I am not coordinating with, we can explore taking this country back ... Thank you, God bless you, and God bless Citizens United."

Since its debut, the series has established itself as one of Comedy Central's highest-rated series, earning Colbert three Emmy Award nominations and an invitation to perform as featured entertainer at the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner in 2006. Colbert was named one of Time's 100 most influential people in 2006.[10] His book I Am America (And So Can You!) was No. 1 on The New York Times Best Seller list.
