The Essential Black Mold Removal Tips

7
It is crucial that you form a plan to get rid of the black mold problem that you have in your home as soon as you can.
Because black mold is toxic it is vital that you go about doing this correct way, as this essentially means that you need to take the proper safety precautions as well as take the time to be especially thorough with your cleaning methodology.
Before you do anything it is first a smart move to get a hold of the necessary safety equipment.
A pair of gloves, safety goggles, a respiratory mask, and some kind of outer protection for your body are the necessary pieces of gear that you are going to need if you don't want to be adversely affected by both the mold spores, and the cleaning agents you will be using.
Now that you have hopefully acquired all of the appropriate safety equipment, it is now time to form a plan that can help guide you when you are attempting to clean up the black mold.
You first need to identify where the mold is exactly, and the first places you should look are your basement, and any other room in your house that has been affected by any sort of water runoff.
Next you must seal off the areas of your home that may have shown evidence of black mold growth, and you can get this done with some duct tape, and plastic sheets.
Now that you have sealed off the parts of your house that were affected by the black mold you can now form a plan to actually get rid of the black mold.
You first need to get your hands on a simple cleaning solution that can help clear up the mold on a large scale.
A simple solution of soap and water will do just fine, and they key here is to try and soak up as much mold as possible so that there are no more visible signs of mold present in the room.
Getting rid of the materials you used to wipe up the black mold is vital once you are finished, as these are highly toxic.
You now want to go back over all of the areas you just cleaned, but this time you will be using a much more potent cleaning solution that can kill whatever mold spores are leftover.
One cup of bleach mixed with one gallon of water will do the trick, as I have used this in the past and can testify to its effectiveness.
It is now critical that you allow the appropriate areas to dry, and during this time you should dispose of all the safety gear and other equipment that may have been contaminated during your cleaning.
Your black mold project is now essentially complete, and the only thing left to do now is to re-inspect the room in about a week to make sure the mold hasn't returned.
