How to Import YouTube Into PowerPoint

18
    • 1). Browse to the YouTube video you want to embed in your PowerPoint presentation. Select the website address and copy it by pressing "Ctrl+C" on your keyboard.

    • 2). Open your PowerPoint presentation and click on the slide where you want the YouTube video to play. Click on the "Developer" tab and then click on the icon with the wrench and hammer labeled "More Tools."

If you don't see the "Developer" tab, click on the "Office Button," which is the circle in the upper left of the PowerPoint window. Click "PowerPoint Options" and then "Popular," and check the box next to "Show Developer Tab." Click "Close."

    • 3). Scroll down and click on "Shockwave Flash Object" and then click "OK." Click and drag on the slide to draw the space where the YouTube video will play. Release the mouse button when you're done drawing.

    • 4). Right-click the object and choose "Properties." Click in the space next to "Movie" and press "Ctrl+V" to paste in the URL for the YouTube video. Delete "watch?" from the address and replace every "=" with a "/" so that PowerPoint can correctly parse the URL.

    • 5). Click on the value next to "Playing" and set it to "True" for the video to play automatically when you click on the slide. "False" will require you to click on the video to play it. Set the value for "Loop" to "True" so the video will keep playing over and over until you leave the slide, "False" for it to play only once.
