Fun Things To Do in Miami at Night
- The fun begins when the sun goes down in Miami.Miami Beach Sunset image by Wimbledon from Fotolia.com
The sun sets in the west, setting the skyscrapers ablaze. The palm trees stretch long shadows toward the Atlantic Ocean. When night falls, the city of Miami comes alive with music, dancing, food and entertainment. The dilemma is not finding something to do, but choosing what to do from Miami's abundant options.
. - Tuxedos and formal dresses mingle with bikinis and board shorts when South Beach comes alive at night. Cars move very slowly along Ocean Drive after dark and parking is difficult to find; visitors should use the parking garages nearby. Street performers along Ocean Drive display tropical birds, make art from palm fronds or tell fortunes. The west side of the street is lined with art deco hotels, nightclubs and restaurants. Most nightclub doors are open and reveal everything from drag queen shows to tabletop salsa dancers. The east side borders the beach and features sandcastles illuminated by candles. South Beach is located on the Atlantic Ocean between 5th St. and 14th Place in Miami Beach.
- Guests at B.E.D can lounge on large, luxurious beds as they enjoy gourmet dining and drinks. The venue is aglow with neon lights and draped with filmy curtains; its nightclub features live music events and dancing.

Emilio and Gloria Estefan serve up classic Cuban cuisine at Bongo's Cuban Café. Look for the giant pineapple atop the building. Diners can enjoy tropical décor and fresh-flavored mojitos stirred with a stick of sugar cane before heading to the nightclub for salsa, bachata and meringue mixed with a little disco. Ceiling-to-floor windows provide views of the Miami skyline and the bay. Terraces feature live music and dancing as well.
