5 Romantic Ways To Celebrate An Anniversary

33
We are all guilty of forgetting about how important anniversaries are in reflecting on how you and your partner met and to rekindle that buzz of the first time you got together. Below are some suggestions on what you could do for your special anniversary.

Remember that first date?

Plan a date together as you did before you got married. Go into a major city and enjoy the feel of the big smoke, get tickets to the gold class cinemas, buy some popcorn, snacks and snuggle while you enjoy the comfort in the leather recliners, relax and just soak in the happiness. You can recreate the first night that you met, this is a wonderful way to celebrate a wedding anniversary, it not only brings back all those fantastic memories that you felt for each other back then, but it also reminds you of the reasons why you are still in love today.

Maybe a surprise!

Surprise your partner with an overnight stay in your favourite location. Hire a room at a local hotel and jazz it up with some five star luxuries: a bottle of champagne, chocolates and other goodies that you both enjoy. Pack an overnight bag for each of you. Pick up your partner from work for a special surprise night out. Book the executive suite and live it up for the night.

Take a Second Honeymoon

Take a second honeymoon to a location that you have both always wanted to visit. Whether your holiday is to an exotic destination or a country hideaway, it will allow you to enjoy the memories in a unique, personal setting. If you cannot afford a luxury holiday, take a weekend off to a resort within driving distance and escape from the normal day to day tasks. Turn off your phones, order room service and take in the surrounds of the location around you as you relax together and wipe your worries of the world away with the same champagne and strawberries you toasted with on your wedding day.

Reminisce on those Wedding Day Memories

If you were married recently, you probably had some video footage taken on your wedding day. Cuddle up by the open fire and watch it. Youll be surprised at the small details that youve forgotten or didnt even remember happening on the day. If you were married before videos were a big thing at weddings, take out your wedding photo album and look through the shots of the big day. It should get both of you laughing at some family and friends dress sense and your own hair styles at the time!

If all of this is just too hard - Stay at Home

If you cant get a baby sitter or no one will look after the pets, you can always make the most out of your own comfortable home. Lock the door, turn off your phones and whack the answering machine on, surround yourself with the things that make you happy to create a romantic atmosphere. Cuddle up and share memories of your wedding day and discuss what the future holds, possible career changes or general direction in life might be things on the subject list. Relax, laugh, kiss and enjoy each others company.
