The more I explore the world of the Internet the more I see two or more different worlds.
There is the world of the Internet marketers who's only goal seems to be to make a ton of money while sitting at home in front of their computers.
That's what I want to be one day, when I grow up.
There are static websites sitting on servers that are nothing more than a company's business card on the Internet.
They are still part of the physical world, and they are clueless to what goes on in Cyberworld.
They just think they are in the Cyberworld because they have a website.
They think they have an "Internet Presence.
" Most of them are clueless.
Some of them have flash based websites.
They probably paid a small fortune for them.
There are the social networks where people are just wanting to talk, argue, and meet their future spouse.
They are like the gazelleson the African plain grazing and mating, unaware that they are being stalked.
You might ask "Stalked by who?" I will tell you, but its pretty spooky.
They are being watched very carefully by the "Mega Marketers," lions in the brush who are now circling the social networks, and infiltrating them.
They don't look like spammers anymore.
They are in disguise.
They want to make friends.
They want to talk.
They are masquerading as one of the gazelles.
Then, when you least suspect it, they will go in for the kill.
What they really want is to sell you something, or at the very least, get you on their news letter's mailing list.
These people aren't amateurs.
They are successful Internet marketers and super affiliates who are charging hefty prices to coach other mega marketers exactly how to do it.
They are fierce competitors in the Internet Marketing world.
They hunt in prides or packs.
It's what they do.
Don't misunderstand me,I am not saying these are bad people.
They are the lions of the Internet, and you, my clueless social networking friend, are their prey.
You can buy their products and learn to become one of them if you wish and if you can afford them.
It is only natural that when people get together in communities there will be commerce and people selling their wares.
It is only natural that the lion stalks its prey.
That is his occupation.
Are you making money on the Internet, or have you just been romping on myspace trying to pick up girls on your day off from your dead end job? You don't have to be a Mega Marketer who, like a lion is stalking its prey on some social network, but perhaps you should be more aware of what is happening in Cyberworld.
You might want to consider looking into a business on the exploding Internet.
If you are going to live there, you may as well work there too.
If you have a hobby or a niche,maybe you can find a way to get out of your dead end job in the clueless physical world and at least make a living at the computer.
There is a lot more to do and learn in Cyberworld than just browsing, flirting, gambling and Internet porn.
Go ahead, have fun, but just be aware of lions in the brush, and be aware of the possibilities.
