• The iPhone's uses internal flash memory, meaning that it cannot be removed like a standard SD card. It is not possible to increase an iPhone's memory, so it is advisable to purchase an iPhone with the memory you need. As of July, 2010 the iPhone comes equipped with either 16 or 32GB of built in memory.

• The iPhone differs greatly from other smart phones. One of the biggest differences is that while most smart phones provide an SD card slot for expandable memory, the iPhone does not. Depending on preference, this could be seen as both as good and bad thing. The good side is that updating your phone with music, video or photos is easier with internal memory.
