How to Mount My Ritchie Compass
- 1). Wipe down the section of the boat where you wish to install the bracket. Place the bracket down onto the surface and use the marker to place a dot marking the two set-screw holes for the bracket.
- 2). Drill out the holes. Align the bracket holes to drilled-out holes. Screw the bracket to the area.
- 3). Place the compass into the mount's side cradles. Tighten the lock dials until the compass is secured in the bracket. Tilt the compass to your desired angle.
- 1). Wipe out the deck or dashboard hole on the boat. Push the compass into the specific hole for the compass. If no hole exists, drill one out with the appropriate hole bit with the power drill.
- 2). Look under the dash or flush mount on the deck and insert the set-screws into the holes on the compass.
- 3). Tighten the screws until they lock the compass onto the dash or deck hole.
- 1). Peel the one-sided tape off the bottom of the compass.
- 2). Wipe off the area on the boat dash where you wish to stick the compass.
- 3). Stick the compass down onto the dash surface to engage the glue on the bottom of the compass.
