Family Friendly Condos at Colorado"s Keystone Resort
Keeping kids occupied during a ski vacation requires more than just a good ski school. At Keystone in Summit County, Colo., kids and their families are kept occupied with "Kidtopia," a season-long festival of events.
The centerpiece of the program is massive snow fort, complete with with interactive elements such as snow tunnels and climbing areas, located at the top of the 11,640-foot Dercum Mountain, the area that holds much of the resort's beginner and intermediate terrain.
At the Kidtopia headquarters at Expedition Station in River Run Village, kids can participate in scavenger hunts and kids' night out. Other events include meeting avalanche dogs, fireworks, live music in the plaza, disco tubing to 80s music, and daily cookie hours at the ice skating rink, a sort of après ski for kids.
