New York State is home to several top-ranked business schools, including three institutions ranked among the nation's top 20 business schools by U.S. News and World Report. These schools offer undergraduate and graduate degree programs in a variety of business fields. - Columbia University's Business School, referred to simply as Columbia Business School, was founded in 1916. As of 2009, the school had about 1,500 graduate students. The school contains five academic divisions, including accounting, finance and economics, decision, risk and operations, management and marketing. The school grants Master of Science (MS) degrees in marketing, Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degrees and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees in 15 areas, and doctoral (PhD) degrees in five areas. The Columbia Business School was ranked ninth in U.S. News and World Report's 2009 ranking of business schools.

The school offers undergraduate programs leading toward a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree, full-time, part-time and executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree programs, a PhD program in business research and several global master's degree programs. The Stern School of Business was ranked 11th in U.S. News and World Report's 2009 ranking of business schools.

stern.nyu.edu - The Cornell University S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management was founded in 1946. The school is named for the S.C. Johnson consumer products company. As of 2009, the Johnson School had about 680 students. The school offers two-year, accelerated and executive Master of Business Administration degree programs, as well as doctoral degree programs in five areas of study. Students can also pursue dual degrees in collaboration with the schools of law and engineering and Cornell. The Johnson School was ranked 17th in U.S. News and World Report's 2009 ranking of business schools.
