How to Achieve Any Goals in Your Life

Have you known or seen someone before who seems to always be able to achieve their goals and get what they want no matter what obstacles they face? I am sure you have, and am probably puzzled over how they did it. Actually what they have done is found out a specific strategy that they have developed and fine-tuned over the years to achieve their goals in life.

Thanks to the classic "Think and Grow Rich", you don't have to go through the same process as them to perfect this strategy, as it can be simplified into five simple steps that anyone can take as adapted from "Think and Grow Rich":

1.Set a goal that can be quantified

No matter what type of goals you want to achieve, you need to be able to quantify it to be able to formulate a plan towards achieving it. For example, if you want money, you can't just say "I want more money", you need to say "I want X amount of money by Y date", if you want a better partner, you can't just say "You want a better partner", you need to say
"I want a partner that can do this or do that", and so on.

2. Set deadline for yourself

Setting a deadline for yourself will help to prevent you from getting paralyzed by perfectionism and procrastination. Setting a deadline will help to provide you with a way to track your own progress and then being able to celebrate small successes along the way towards your goals.

It is also important to set smaller deadlines along the way by breaking the main goal in smaller chunks, so that you will find the motivation to continue on whenever you accomplish a small goal rather than being burdened down by not having reached your main goal yet.

3. Decide what you are going to give for what you want to get

If you want to achieve something in life that you don't have currently, you most definitely need to decide what you are going to give in exchange for it. A lot of people never ever achieve their goals because they spend most of their time looking for shortcuts or expecting to get something out of nothing. If you want money, decide what you are going to give in exchange for it, will it be a service that you provide, a product that you created, and so on.

4. Formulate a simple plan that you can work on everyday

Now that you know what you want to achieve and your main goals and also what you have decided to exchange for it, use your deadline to formulate a simple plan that you can break into simple steps everyday. This will help you to create a small momentum and also give you something to work on consistently everyday, and also prevent you from being overwhelmed by your main goal that seems so far away.

5. Repeat, rehearse and evaluate your plan

The moment you have written down your main goal and the simple plan, go through it two times a day, preferably once in the morning and once at night, and evaluate whether it has been effective for you at least once a week. Evaluating your plan is important because nobody is perfect and gets their plan foolproof and 100% correct the first time, and your goals will also probably become clearer to you the more you take action.

Start now and apply these five steps into your life, and sooner or later you will be the one that people will be asking for the secret towards achieving your goals or success in life.
