How to Make a Rope Wreath
- 1). Cut 1/2 yard of sisal rope with heavy-duty scissors or a sharp knife. Place a vertical strip of hot glue on the front of a 12-inch polystyrene wreath base and press one end of the rope onto it.
- 2). Wrap the rope tightly around the wreath until the entire surface is covered. Place a strip of hot glue on the opposite end of the rope and press it onto the wreath base to secure.
- 3). Decorate the front of the wreath with small, nautical-themed items. Use hot glue to attach small seashells, starfish and pieces of driftwood to the rope. Enhance the wreath with miniature wood anchor, ship wheel and lighthouse designs for a whimsical look.
- 4). Slip a navy blue grosgrain ribbon through the wreath and tie it into a knot so you can hang the decor item on a door or wall.
