How to Make a Picture Frame Ornament
- 1). Place the tracing template on the photo. Select a shape.
- 2). Draw the shape on the photo using your marker, then cut your photo out and set aside.
- 3). Draw the same shape you did for your photo onto a piece of felt. Now draw the same shape around the first one, about 1/2 to 3/4 inch larger than the first.
- 4). Cut out your outline (the larger, outside shape). Cut out the center. The hole in the center is where your picture will be placed.
- 5). Make another felt outline the size of the larger shape. This will be the backing to your frame.
- 1). Decorate the outside of your frame (the piece with the hole) with glitter glue, beads or buttons.
- 2). Glue your photo to the backing felt piece (the one without the hole), being sure to center it and place it where you like before gluing.
- 3). Make a thin line of glue along the back side of your front piece, leaving an opening at the top to affix a ribbon for hanging.
- 4). Loop a piece of ribbon through the opening. Add more glue to seal the back of the ornament.
- 5). Allow your ornament to dry completely (overnight), then stitch the outer edge of the frame, so it will be completely closed.
