How to Get a Closet Sliding Door Back on the Track
- 1). Locate a pivot socket in the floor track. It will be on the end of the door that stays in place during operation.
- 2). Find the pivot point on the bottom of the door itself. This fits into the pivot socket. It is a basic male/female connection point. Place the door into the socket on the track.
- 3). Push the door into an upright position, standing on a stool if necessary to reach the top of the door frame. There will be another pivot socket in the top track.
- 4). Depress the spring-loaded pivot point on the door and slide it into place below the pivot socket on the track. Use a flat-head screwdriver. Take out the screwdriver and release the pivot point into the socket.
- 5). Snap the upper and lower sliding wheel guides into place on the top and bottom tracks. Just push the wheel until it snaps into place.
