eBay - Your Recession Safety Net?

15
The world economy is in crisis.
Job layoffs are headline news daily in almost every newspaper and news broadcast.
Everyone wonders if they will be next.
How will you make ends meet if you lose your job? What if you can't find a new job? Is selling on eBay a viable option to make you money? The answer is a resounding MAYBE! eBay is a wonderful way to make money.
Many, many people rely on it for their full time income.
But, like any job, it takes a lot of work.
Your biggest problem is consistently finding items to sell for a PROFIT!Even if you have a house full of stuff that you are willing to part with it is amazing how quickly you run out.
Once you have sold all of your belongings you will have to buy inventory.
To give you and idea of what it takes to generate a continuous income on eBay consider the following example.
If you need $600 a week to pay your bills you will probably have to sell $5,000 to $10,000 worth of stuff each and every week! This assumes a 10% to 25% profit margin, provides an allowance for taxes you will be responsible for, and leaves something left to buy new inventory with.
Obviously every situation is different but this example, in my opinion, is a good rule of thumb.
It takes a lot of work to list and sell this many items but don't let this keep you from giving eBay a try! There are many good sources of merchandise available to you.
The more you look around, the more you will find.
Probably the best way to start is part time.
Don't assume eBay will take care of you full time until you have been at it for a while.
Keep all other options open and keep looking for a new job.
If eBay works, Great! If it doesn't, then you still have the other options open that you have been pursuing.
Good Luck!
