To the Perceived Ideals of This Country - Thank You
First I am not a government official and I know the basics about our governmental system.
I have been in management for over 20 years and have dealt and met many people striving for different things in life.
But with the problems that have happened with wall street, companies faltering, and our government who took off regulations, I found my self wondering once again what is going on.
So in this article there are a few I just want to thank.
I thank the police officer that swore to protect the lives of citizens and has done that with integrity, honesty, and with the best intentions in upholding the laws.
I thank the construction worker who never slipped corners, never thought of taking copper off the job, and never charged for work that was not done.
I thank the corporate officer that simply ran the company with the purpose of serving customers, making the company profitable, kept the employees in mind, and never took the "Golden Parachute".
I thank the environmentalist that remind us about our world without hurtful demonstrations or the ones that clean our properties by taking away the trash even though sometimes taken for granted.
I thank the lawyers that work for the people and do everything they can to defend the innocent without it being all about money.
I thank employees that have a work ethic and don't waste time trying to get out of doing the job.
I thank the business people that make good products at fair prices never gorging prices.
There certainly are others that also deserve thanks.
Here I would like to find the politician that I could really thank.
One that upholds the constitution, the one that doesn't make deals, doesn't deal with special interest groups, and doesn't add on pork to bills going through the congress.
The politician that keeps promises and works totally for the people that elected that politician.
I would love to thank the elected official that stays in touch with the people of this country and votes for their interests.
The one that shows up to work on a regular basis and stays in touch with what is happening in this country.
I would like to thank the elected official that does not just operate on his/her own agenda.
The United Stated of America is a beautiful country founded on beautiful principles.
Perhaps it's time to believe this and do everything possible to bring back the country that we have been so proud to be citizen in.
Maybe it's time for the regular person to pay a little more attention and have a more active voice on what is best for everyone in this country.
