Stabilize Loose Door Glass

• 1). Shake the doors of the cabinet gently to see if the glass rattles when you shake it. If the glass is loose, remove the screws in the hardware that holds the glass in the door. It helps to have another person hold the glass in place while you remove the screws and the hardware.
  
  
• 2). Remove the glass carefully.
  
  
• 3). Run a thin bead of clear silicone window and door sealant around the inside of the groove that holds the glass.
  
  
• 4). Press the glass back into the frame. Have a helper hold the glass in place while you replace the hardware and screws. Allow the sealant to dry for two hours.
  
  

Replace Glass Shelves

• 1). Remove the glass shelf and place it on a sheet of 1/4-inch-thick plywood or medium-density fiberboard.
  
  
• 2). Trace around the shelf with a pencil.
  
  
• 3). Cut out the new shelf by cutting along the pencil line with a jigsaw.
  
  
• 4). Install a 1/4-inch bullnose router bit in the router. Run the router around the edge of the shelf to give it a smooth, rounded edge.
  
  
• 5). Sand the new shelf smooth and place it in the cabinet.
