How to Clean a Window and the Washing Supplies
- 1). Fill a spray bottle with 2 parts water to 1 part white vinegar. Pour in a squirt of dish soap if you need an extra cleaning boost for heavily soiled windows. Spray this solution onto your windows, and wipe the cleaner off with either a handful of wadded newspaper or a cleaning rag. This is a versatile cleaner that dries without streaks.
- 2). Use rubbing alcohol if you prefer a window wash with an antifreeze quality. Rubbing alcohol works well on windows because it dries clear and is effective during cold winter months, especially for car windows. To use, mix 2 parts water to 1 part rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle. Again, add a squirt of dish soap for extra cleaning power. Spray the mixture onto your windows, and wipe it off with a cleaning rag or newspapers.
- 3). Dry the windows using small, circular movements, and use clean rags as needed until you get that streak-free shine windows are intended to have.
