Instructions for Heating Cooked Hams
- 1). Rinse the ham and pat dry with paper towels. Rinsing the ham removes excess brine and packaging liquid, which reduces saltiness.
- 2). Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Place the ham in a baking pan and into the oven.
- 3). Allow 20 minutes of cooking time for every 1 lb. of ham, until it has an internal temperature of 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Cook leftover ham to a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Check the ham's internal temperature by inserting a probe thermometer in its thickest portion.
