3D Nintendo Console Coming Soon

12
By March 2011, Nintendo's loyal followers will have a new game console in their hands: the new machine that tentatively goes by the name Nintendo 3DS.
Japan's biggest game maker, Nintendo, released the news that the 3DS will be the latest contender against other consoles produced by Microsoft & Sony.
Of course, the biggest selling point is what the new 3DS can do.
3 Dimensional gaming! Even better is the fact that it does this without the need for Bulky Polarized Glasses.
Loyal Nintendo fans are truly excited, but are wondering the most crucial factor involved here...
Price.
Nothing official has been released on the subject, but it's said that the price will be announced at the E3 Video Game Convention, held in June 2010, in Los Angeles.
Nintendo's 3D DS Console will be launching on the back of their currently popular DS Console series.
The DS was released to the general public in 2004, and has been a huge seller ever since.
Incredibly, the DS Console has sold a massive 125 Million Units.
You might be wondering if you can still play your DS Games on the 3DS - well the answer is yes.
This move from Nintendo to offer backwards compatibility on the New 3D DS has been designed to restore faith in a recent decline in sales.
This is due to recent increased competition that has been brought about by the Apple iPhone Avatar, the movie that first made '3D' popular, is a big fire-starter behind the growing desire for 3D Games.
Movie goers wore 3D Polarised glasses that create the 3D Effect.
Due to the popularity of Avatar, manufacturers the world around are coming up with different plans to bring 3D into the living room.
Samsung have already started offering 3D LED Television sets that are currently on offer to buy.
Although other game console makers like Sony are also planning to come out with devices that can work well with 3D games, like its PlayStation 3 consoles, it is Nintendo's 3D portable game console which stands out because of its unique feature of "no special glasses" needed in order to enjoy the lifelike images that it creates.
Even if it is not clear yet what specific type of technology is used in the 3D version of its handheld DS game, Nintendo is definitely on its way to achieving its goal of coming up with a new game system.
This new game system may well be on it's way to gaining back the market that it lost to the iPhone and Apple's other highly popular mobile product, the iPod Touch.
