How to Play Back MIDI Files
- 1). Launch your Windows Media Player by pressing the "Start" button located on the toolbar at the bottom of your screen to open the Start Menu. Press the "All Programs" options to get a list of the programs on your system and then select "Windows Media Player" to open.
- 2). Click the "Organize" option from the menu offerings at the top of the screen and then select "Manage Libraries." Click on "Music" to open the Music Library Locations window.
- 3). Press the "Add" button to open a file browser window for your system drives. Navigate to the location of your MIDI songs, then click the "Include Folder" button. This will drop you back to the Music Library Locations window. Press the "OK" button to apply the changes to your Media Player library.
- 4). Click on the "Other Media" option in the menu running down the left of your Windows Media Player window for a list of all MIDI files in your library, including the newly-added MIDI files.
- 5). Double-click on the MIDI file in the list that you wish to play in order to start the MIDI file playing.
