For most people, a night of excessive alcohol consumption is usually followed by a hangover in the morning.
Symptoms of hangover include pounding headache, nausea, thirst, fatigue, dizziness, dry mouth and throat, and redness of eyes, though it may differ from one person to another.
A lot of social drinkers have their own way to cure hangover; still some simply wait until the alcohol is out of their system and for the symptoms to pass.
There are actually many ways to ease the effects of hangover.
A common cause of hangover is drinking with an empty stomach.
Alternatively, take a fulfilling meal before heading to the bar; a large meal will slow the rate of alcohol absorption into the bloodstream.
Drinking a lot of water during and after consuming alcohol is the easiest and most guaranteed to minimize dehydration, a sign of pending hangover.
Fresh fruit juice is another great remedy; not only it helps flush out the toxin in the body, fructose content in fruit can help boost energy level and replace the lost vitamins.
Metabolism of alcohol is also sped up by Vitamin C.

The high content of potassium in bananas is also great to substitute for the loss of fructose and potassium when alcohol is consumed.
