How to Fix Buzzing in Guitar Wires
- 1). Sit in a chair and play the guitar. Do not plug it in. Listen carefully, as you slide the index finger on your left hand up the strings, playing each fret on each string until you identify which string or strings are buzzing.
- 2). Place a .050 hex wrench on the two small setscrews located on either side of the string at the saddle. The string passes between the setscrews. The setscrews are facing straight up; they are the only ones there.
- 3). Turn the setscrews clockwise, one full turn at a time, to raise the individual string. Play the string. If it still buzzes, turn the setscrews one turn at a time until the buzzing stops.

- 2). Turn two large knurled knobs clockwise with your fingers. They are located on each side of the guitar's saddle where the strings pass over small wedge-shaped metal pieces.
- 3). Play the guitar. If you still have string buzzing, turn the knobs one-half turn clockwise until the buzzing stops.
