1967 Pontiac GTO New Car Specs
- The 1967 model Pontiac GTO featured a number of new additions, including a redesigned taillight assembly, a new grille and a larger and more powerful engine. The model name was an abbreviation for Gran Turismo Omologato, a designation shared by Ferrari. Unlike the Ferrari, which was a sports car, the GTO was built to accelerate quickly rather than reach high speeds. The 1967 model is prized by collectors and recognized by many as an important vehicle in muscle car history.
