We all know we need to eat healthy and take care of ourselves if we want to live a long disease free life.
There are tons of diet and healthy advice products out there all claiming to be "the" way to a fit body.
Many are fads that seem to pop up out of nowhere and then they are gone just as quick.
Some tell you not to eat certain foods at all while others tell you just the opposite.
So what do you do? All the natural foods put here on this earth have their own nutritional benefits for our bodies.
If we chose to eat a balance of each of them we would get what we need to stay healthy.
The problem is that most people choose only to eat what they have become accustomed to or were introduced to growing up,never trying new foods.
Some people choose the quick mostly unhealthy fast food route to satisfy their hunger maybe because it is quick and doesn't require any effort on their part,and they do for the most part taste good.
The bad news is that these foods are high in calories and fat.
Not the way to go to stay healthy.
Instead stick with the good old food chart we all know from our school health classes.
These categories are the healthy balance that are scientifically proven to be the way to a healthy body and mind.
Yes you do want to eat foods that taste good and its true that some foods you just don't like the way they taste and that's OK because there are alternate choices that will give you the same nutritional benefits.
The main thing is try to stay away from processed foods because of the preservatives and chemicals they put in them to have longer shelf life.
They are like poison to our bodies over time! Sugars and fats are not all bad either.
We need sugar for energy levels,fats for lubricating and keeping the skin supple.
We need sodium to help cleanse the body and prevent diseases.
The key is moderation and a balance of the right foods to keep everything working properly and keep us healthy.
So to recap just remember fads come and go,but good food will always be here providing what we need for a healthy body.
Prepared properly and using different recipes,good taste will be there even for the pickiest eater.
Just remember moderation is key.
