Using DVD Identifier

• 1). Download and install DVD Identifier (see Resources). Launch the program after installation is complete.
  
  
• 2). Insert the disc in your computer's disc drive. Select the drive with the disc in the drop down list under "Drive Selection and Drive Write Capabilities."
  
  
• 3). Click on the "Identify" button. The name of the disc manufacturer will be found next to "Manufacturer Name."
  
  

Using Nero DiscSpeed

• 1). Download and install Nero DiscSpeed (see Resources). Launch the program after installation is complete.
  
  
• 2). Insert the disc into your computer's disc drive. Click on the drop-down list at the top of the program window and select the drive with the disc.
  
  
• 3). Click "Start" and Nero DiscSpeed will analyze the disc speed and other attributes. This may take several minutes.
  
  
• 4). Click on "Disc Info" after the test is complete. Under "Basic Information" you will see information about the disc manufacturer.
  
  

Using Opti Drive Control

• 1). Download and install Opti Drive Control (see Resources). Launch the program after installation is complete.
  
  
• 2). Insert the disc you want to analyze into your computer's disc drive.
  
  
• 3). Click on the drop-down list at the top of the program window and select the drive with the disc in it.
  
  
• 4). Click on the "Disc Info" tab. Information on the manufacturer of the DVD is next to "Manufacturer ID."
