How to Install Tile in Corners

14
    • 1). Lay the last full row of tiles down each adjacent wall of the corner. Put the tiles down, using the pattern you've used across the entire floor, and apply with the same adhesive you've used on the other tiles. The last full row of tiles is the last row where tiles can be laid hole, without being cut down to size.

    • 2). Place a tile on top of the tile that is closest to the corner, so that the top tile lines up perfectly with the tile laid on the floor. Line a second tile up with the edges of the top tile, and then slide the second tile diagonally until it is lined up with both adjacent walls and touches the corner.

    • 3). Mark the two edges where the tile that touches the corner hits the top tile. This creates a small square in the corner of the tile.

    • 4). Use a tile saw to cut out the small square that you created at the corner of the tile. Place the square in the corner to make sure it fits properly. If the tile fits, spread adhesive on the floor in the corner and press the small piece of tile into place.

    • 5). Mark the tile again if the piece that you cut doesn't fit. Cut just outside the lines this time to make the piece slightly larger than before and, if necessary, trim the tile down a little at a time until you get a proper fit.
