How to Remove a Tablet PC Input Panel From the Taskbar
- 1). Press the Windows and "R" keys on the keyboard simultaneously to display the Windows "Run" dialog box.
- 2). Type "cmd" in the "Run" box, omitting the quotation marks, and then press "Enter." The Windows XP command prompt appears.
- 3). Type "regsvr32 -u %programfiles%\common files\microsoft shared\ink\tipband.dll" in the command prompt window (without quotation marks) and press "Enter." Windows displays a message explaining that the DLL file was successfully unregistered.
- 4). Close the Command Prompt. Click the "Start" button, and then click "Shut Down." Click the "Restart" button to reboot your computer. When the computer restarts, the Tablet PC Input Panel will no longer be displayed.
- 5). Return to the command prompt and type "regsvr32 %programfiles%\common files\microsoft shared\ink\tipband.dll" (without quotation marks) if you decide that you would like to turn the Tablet PC Input Panel back on.
