How to Send Money Through a Transfer
- 1). Sign up for a new account on PayPal by going to its website (see Resources for the registration form). If you have an existing account, enter your username and password and log in.
- 2). Open the money transferring form by clicking the “Send Money” button from the website’s homepage.
- 3). Type in the recipient’s full email ID in the “To” field.
- 4). Specify the amount you wish to transfer. You also have the option of sending the money in your local currency or the recipient’s. For instance, you can select USD, AUD, CAD, Chinese Yuan and so on.
- 5). Click “Continue.”
- 6). Review the information on the next page. If there’s nothing that requires correction, proceed and click on “Send Money.” Money will then be subtracted from your PayPal account and sent to the recipient’s PayPal account. In case he doesn’t already have an account, PayPal will send him an email on how to sign up and access the funds.
- 1). Find an agent of Western Union or MoneyGram located in your area. Both of these companies have their agent offices located in various cities of the world. To find one in your area, go to their websites and click on “Find Us/Locate Agent.”
- 2). Visit the agent office of either Western Union or MoneyGram, whichever company you have decided to go with. Give the agent all the details about the recipient, including his contact details and name.
- 3). Pay the transfer fee (which you can calculate on the company’s website before going to the agent) and the transferable amount. After the agent processes the transaction, he will provide you with a Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN), also known as the Reference Number.
- 4). Contact the recipient and have him note down the MTCN/Reference number. Tell him to go to an agent location to pick up the money. Usually the funds are available within 10 minutes after transfer.
