Held under the auspices of EUMABOIS European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers, the Pozna…,,-based DREMA has become a fixture in the calendar of specialist trade shows recognised by representatives of both woodworking and furniture production plants of different size. This trade fair owes its strong position on the international arena among others to the presence of exhibitors who are leading global manufacturers and suppliers of different sectors of the wood and furniture sectors in Poland and all over the world. DREMA is held under the auspices of the Minister of Economy as well as the National Chamber of Commerce, which proves that companies producing furniture, windows, doors, stairs, floors and other wooden products make an essential part of the industry as a whole, and its development hinges upon access to state-of-the-art production technologies. And the latter will be in the centre of attention of visitors to the Pozna…,,-based trade fair, where we are going to see both a sample of entire process lines for industrial use and a wide range of machinery dedicated to small and medium enterprises and craftsmen.
Live Furniture Factory: a unique presentation
During DREMA, there will be a one-of-a-kind show of furniture production resembling that in a regular manufacturing plant. Located on 2,000 sq m, this space will be filled with live machinery and equipment forming process units. This year, the Live Furniture Factory will manufacture bedroom furniture, whose design has been selected in a special competition. A set of bedroom furniture comprises a bed and a pouffe along with supplementary furniture, namely a chest of drawers and bedside tables. Like last year, the design and technical documentation will be provided by M.A. students of the Department of Furniture Design at the Faculty of Wood Technology of the Pozna…,, University of Life Sciences. The factory will feature a technologist workstation equipped in a pre-configured production management support system managed by the students of the Pozna…,, University.
An opportunity of face-to-face meetings with key business partners and a visit to a model furniture factory are not the only highlights prepared by the DREMA organisers. The Drema Skills Boot Camp will offer presentations of machinery for surface preparation and application of protective coating used in furniture production. On every trade fair day, visitors will have an opportunity to try out tools and equipment presented at the Skills Boot Camp under expert supervision. The Parquet Floor Laying WorkshopEURlive, with presentations of parquet measurement, processing and finishing techniques is bound to be an attraction for professional visitors. Experts will provide valuable advisory on parquet floor laying. There will be presentations for students of construction and woodworking schools, as well.

The 10th Polish Championships in Nail Hammering will be held during DREMA. It is a competition that consists in hammering 3.5-inch nails into a square timber with five hammer hits, a great fun for all visitors who wish to try their hand. EUR?Conjured from Wood" is a competition addressed to students of secondary schools that specialize in woodworking. The task for the competitors is to produce either from wood or wood derivatives an original object that has never been commonly made from this material before. The entered works will be displayed at a special exposition, along with an exhibition of unique historic woodworking machinery and equipment featuring many valuable and exceptional exhibits.
