Global Warming, Oh My God We Are All Going to Die - Doubtful Hogwash Indeed
Is Global Warming just a conspiracy theory of epic proportions and hot air? Yes, why yes it is.
Everyday still, however we hear more nonsensical debate and media press on this issue, and some folks speaking as if AGW Theory is a "known fact" but, alas it's not.
The other day someone had contacted me proclaiming that we've witnessed some amazing high temperatures throughout the globe and have seen records being broken.
Is this true? No, not really, we've seen some anomalies in the weather, but we see anomalies in the weather all the time, nothing new.
I stated to my acquaintance; really, I don't see the overall ambient temperature change much, globally, but we do have warming in the North, some increased ice accumulation in the South, and some colder waters and air due to the melting perhaps in Europe, but all in all not bad.
Still, mankind has always enjoyed a large brain and has been able to modify his local environment.
In fact, I live in a city which has temps in excess of 115 degrees in the summer time, not often, but often enough to pay attention.
We simply turn on the air-conditioning and do a little less outside than normal, and in the evenings it's quite warm and delightful.
My acquaintance stated that turning on the air conditioners more will not help us with the coming global warming, because we will use too much energy to generate that power and most of it comes from coal-fired plants which put out CO2 which is causing the problem in the first place.
Well, that's all BS really mankind's CO2 emissions are 2.
5% of the total in the atmosphere the rest comes from nature, and still it's really only a trace gas anyway, it's not causing global warming, in fact, we can't even prove there is significant warming anyway.
Yes, there is some ice melt in the North, but historically that's happened before, we know that.
My acquaintance, a global warming doom and gloomer, also stated that humans need to have a very stable climate to survive and if it gets too hot crops will fail, people will starve, and the air conditioners in the city won't save them.
Well, urban heat is a real issue, and there are lots of issues there, bigger storms post air mass flow, and all that concrete, inversion temps in some cities, definitely changing the dynamics of weather.
And, with regards to mankind's vulnerability to temperature, he's adapted to live in a very wide range of temps; about 180 degree F.
Is that about your view? 135 F to -45 F or so, based on our current habitats, and cities? We also have extreme climates such as at the South Pole and at the International Space Station, not to mention future off-world colonies too.
Even though humans are mentally challenged, but resourceful when it comes to Maslow's hierarchy of needs, I wouldn't bet against them, those little parasites are really into survival.
You see, you humans are a lot like cockroaches, so I wouldn't worry much about the human race or global warming for that matter.
Please consider all this and think on it.
