How to Disable a Microsoft Connection on an SQL Import Wizard

10
    • 1). Open Microsoft SQL Server by clicking the "Start" menu, "All Programs" and the "Microsoft SQL Server." Click "SQL Server Import and Export Wizard" to start the wizard.

    • 2). Choose your data source on the next page in the wizard and don't select a Microsoft program like Excel or Access. Once you've chosen the source, choose the authentication mode, server name, database name and file format.

    • 3). Choose your data destination and do not select Excel or Access. Then choose the database options, including its properties and values, and which tables you'd like to import.

    • 4). Click "Run" at the end of the Import Wizard to begin the importing process. Since you have changed the data source, you will not be accessing Microsoft programs.
