Xenon

• Xenon light bulbs incorporate xenon gas into the glass bulbs to produce greater luminance and lamp life. Because xenon bulbs lack filament, they are able to withstand more rough and tumble.
  
  

LED

• LEDs are diodes that illuminate when electrical current is applied, hence the name Light Emitting Diode (LED). LED lights are very bright and have extended lamp life.
  
  

Decor Lighting

• Decor lighting is available in both xenon and LED solutions. Xenon based lighting offers light similar to sunlight for a more natural feel. Xenon lighting is also more affordable.
  
  

Automotive

• Xenon light bulbs produce a brighter light and a wider coverage area. Due to the "whiter" brilliance of Xenon HID (high intensity discharge), illuminated areas appear clearer than traditional halogen bulbs. LED headlamps are brighter and use less power but are much more expensive than xenon.
  
  

Overall

• While LED does offer extended lamp life and brightness, xenon lighting has serious advantages in affordability and light quality.
