The Personal Touch in Hair Loss
You know as well as I do that suffering from hair loss can be embarrassing.
It's not something you want to make public to all your friends and relatives.
If you're anything like me you'd rather no one know about it.
It's even harder when it comes to looking for a treatment because it's kind of like a taboo subject.
You make the appointment with the clinic in secret and maybe tell everyone you have a doctor's appointment when you're really going to have a consultation.
When you go for consultation you want to make sure that the consultant knows exactly what you're going through and knows exactly how you're feeling.
If you get that then they can sympathise with the position you're in.
The problem is, not all consultants are going to feel like this because a lot of them I'd say are there because they are good sales people.
They are given a list of treatments, told what each treatment is for and told that they have to make a certain amount of money per month.
They're more interested in their salary plus bonus and the end of the day That why I always say not to be afraid to ask questions.
Ask as many as you want.
Including whether or not the consultant has suffered from hair loss and if they've had any treatments themselves.
I say this because if a consultant has suffered from hair loss himself then he'll already be on your side wanting to give you the best treatment he can to make you feel as good as you can.
It's always easier discussing the problem with someone who has been down the same path because you know they were once in your shoes.
You can relate to them.
When I went to see a consultant I already knew he suffered from hair loss so I wasn't too embarrassed to discuss my problem because he had been through the exact same thing as me.
His was actually worse than mine.
When you're losing your hair you feel like you don't belong.
If you get a consultant who has suffered from hair loss you don't need to worry about being embarrassed.
You just need to drill them with as many questions as you want to give yourself piece of mind.
Don't be afraid to ask for discount either.
It works sometimes.
