• You must take the dog's temperament into account before using a wireless system. Some stubborn breeds may not be deterred by the boundary area, while larger dogs may simply ignore the signal. Considerations

• Wireless electric dog fences do not work well on sloping yards or yards with a lot of trees as they interfere with the signal. Although the dog's receiver is waterproof, the transmitter is not. Snow and rain can affect the signal. Also, you will need to remove the dog's collar while inside the house as the receiver can be set off by household appliances.
