The Unspoken Truth is a Lie
You can't hide a lie for long.
I call myself a sponge because I catch emotions in the air.
What you feel I feel.
If you have a headache I take the aspirin.
Some call this empathy.
I call it sopping up the vibes and holding onto them.
I also call this BOUNDARY ISSUES.
What I mean by boundary issues is that sometimes I don't know who's feeling what.
I'm learning to separate others feelings from my own.
I'm learning how to protect myself, to create boundaries.
Catching those vibes can be good or bad depending on how a person or group of people feel.
But when there's a LIE I feel it.
It literally hurts.
Not only that when there's a spoken lie or the unspoken truth and I know it, what I imagine is usually a whole lot worse than the lie itself.
Maybe it's not obvious at first.
Maybe it's an empty feeling, a stomach ache or a head ache.
Maybe because I want to believe it I do...
until it no longer fits.
When someone lies to me it's pretty obvious.
I know it's not me unless I'm lying to myself about the lie.
I've been fooled.
I've been disappointed.
But always and I mean always I will find out.
Trust is hard enough for me without the lies.
The truth is so much easier to handle and the TRUTH CREATES TRUST.
Someone I know and love is lying to me.
This is not a spoken lie but the unspoken truth.
The avoidance of the truth is a lie.
I even know what it is.
It's a small lie.
Isn't that how they all begin? It's so hard for me not to confront him with this.
I'll let him sit on it for awhile.
Hopefully he will tell me on his own.
Maybe he will even feel guilty...
which means he has a conscience.
I'm interested in finding out.
THE UNSPOKEN TRUTH A lie lingers underneath the surface Of the skin.
It's simply the truth of omission With a grin.
Do you think I can't feel the void In the air? Do you think I can't see the ripple Under there? The void leaves room for imagination In my mind.
Sometimes the truth plays better than the lie.
Much more kind.
I doesn't matter.
Secrets have a way Of coming out.
The truth always makes it's way to the top.
Have no doubt.
The truth is stronger.
It lasts much longer.
Lies are shallow things Spitting seeds with wings.
