Car manufacturers offer incentives to boost sales. Ford Motor Co. is providing incentives for the purchase or lease of the Ford Fusion Hybrid to four categories of people: college students, diplomats, expatriates and people with physical handicaps. The incentives are available for specified periods. - Students enrolled full-time or part-time at a trade school or a college are eligible to get a $500 bonus for buying or leasing a new Ford Fusion Hybrid or other eligible model. The offer also is available to recent graduates.
- Ford offers new cars, including the Ford Fusion Hybrid, at the factory wholesale price and low finance rate to members of the foreign service community. Sales and delivery are handled by Diplomatic Automobile Sales, Ford's overseas distributor. Special lease rates also are available.
- U.S. citizens who are returning after living overseas can buy or lease a new Ford Fusion Hybrid or other new Ford vehicle at the factory wholesale price. The transaction must be handled by International AutoSource while the expatriate is still overseas. The vehicle will be ready for pick up upon return to the United States.
- As part of its Mobility Motoring Program, Ford pays up to $1,200 for adaptive equipment installed in any new Ford vehicle, including the Ford Fusion Hybrid. Devices that make it easier for a family member with permanent physical disabilities to drive or ride are considered adaptive equipment. Ford dealers can assist buyers or leasers with reimbursement claims for adaptive equipment costs.
