How to Convert AutoCAD 2008 to AutoCAD 2004
- 1). Open the drawing using AutoCAD 2008 as you normally would.
- 2). Save the drawing by hitting "S" and then "Enter" in the Command line. You should follow the same process as you usually do to save a drawing. In case there is a problem when saving to a different version, you will still have your original.
- 3). Click "File" and then "Save As." A dialog box will pop up if this is done properly.
- 4). Pick the folder location and a name for the new drawing.
- 5). Select "AutoCAD 2004 Drawing (.dwg)" from the bottom pull-down menu to save your current file to an older version. You will notice that there are many other options available if you ever need to save the file to a different version. You can also save the file as a .dxf.
- 6). Click the "Save" icon to complete the conversion.
