How to Fry Butterfly Pork Chops
- 1). Pour a 1/2 cup of flour and a 1/2 teaspoon of garlic salt into a large mixing bowl. Add a 1/4 cup of corn starch and stir the mixture using a wooden spoon.
- 2). Add salt and pepper to both sides of the pork chop. Use your fingers to lightly dust the pork with the spices. Place the butterfly pork chops in the mixing bowl and engulf the pork in the flour mixture.
- 3). Place a large frying pan on your stove top. Set the temperature of the stove top to 350 degrees. Pour vegetable oil into the frying pan filling it one inch above the bottom of the pan.
- 4). Place the seasoned butterfly pork chops into the frying pan once the pan has reached temperature. Allow the butterfly pork chop to cook for five minutes. Turn the butterfly pork chop over and cook the other side for another five minutes.
- 5). Use a cooking thermometer to make sure the butterfly pork chop is thoroughly cooked. Insert the tip of the thermometer in the center of the meat. Pork chops must be cooked to a temperature of 170 degrees to prevent illness from consuming uncooked product.
