How to Build UHF Antenna
- 1). Measure out and cut a 20-inch length of bare copper wire with your wire cutters. Bend the wire carefully around a curved object, like a bucket, and form it into a loop with the ends unattached.
- 2). Grip the bare end of the wire with a pair of pliers. Twist it into a loop that is just big enough for a 3/16-inch bolt to slide into. Repeat with the other end of the wire.
- 3). Slide a 3/16-inch bolt through the loop on the end of the wire. Slip a washer and nut onto the bolt and tighten finger tight. Repeat with the other loop on the end of the wire.
- 4). Slip the tab ends of the transformer between the nuts and the washers and tighten snuggly with a wrench.
- 5). Push the F-type connector of the RG-6 cable onto the other end of the transformer. Plug the other end of the cable into your television's antenna jack.
