Mitsubishi HC3800 DLP Video Projector - Installation Menu

32
Here is a look at the Installation Menu of the Mitsubishi HC3800 DLP video projector.
Keystone Correction: This function aids in correcting vertical screen geometry. In other words, if you have the projector places so the image has to project the image so that the left and right side borders are not straight, Keystone Correction tries to restore a natural rectangular shape to the screen. This is not the same as Vertical Location, Aspect Ratio, or Len Shift.

Lamp Mode: This allows the user to set the lamp so that is increases or decreases light output. In a completely darkened, average size room, the Low Mode may actually work fine. However, if you are in very large room, have some ambient light, or just prefer a brighter image, the Standard Mode may provide a better viewing experience. I prefer the Standard Mode in most cases. Also, keep in mind that that projector bulb will last longer in Low Mode than in Standard Mode, as well as using less power.

Auto Power On: The projector turns on as soon as it detects that the power cord is connected to an active AC power source.

Auto Power Off: Use this setting if you want the projector to turn enter the standy mode after a period of time has passed with not active signal input.

Splash Screen: Allows you to set whether you want the Splash Screen to display when the projector is turned on.

Back Color: Allows to choose either a black or blue blank screen when no video source signal is present.

Image Reverse: Allows you to determine how image is projected based on the position of the projector in relation to the screen.

The choices are:

Off - Use this setting when the projector is mounted on a table in front of the screen.

Mirror - Use this setting when the projector is on a table behind the screen.

Invert - Use this setting when the projector is mounted on the ceiling in behind the screen.

Mirror Invert - Use this setting when the projector is mounted on the ceiling in front of the screen.

Trigger Out: If you are using external devices, such as electric-powered screen or accessory Anamorphic Lens, they can be activated by the projector if they are connected using the projector's 12V Trigger output, which is located on the rear connection panel.

Test Pattern: Three basic test patterns are provided: Cross Hatch, White, and Black.
